About the role
Role Responsibilities
1. Supports the CMO with the CMO ROC and the Haleon Safety Board.
2. Enhances and supports the medical governance system across the global CH business to ensure it is consistent with appropriate standards.
3. Reviews/comments on ad hoc risk/benefit and safety assessments, representing Haleon externally as appropriate.
4. Supports Benefit-Risk Assessments working with the BUs/Categories and Safety including the Consumer Safety Regions & Categories Head.
5. Partners with Reg CoP lead and facilitates the Community of Practice for Haleon Medical and Scientific Affairs connecting BU and category teams, sharing best practices, communications, talent, synergies, etc.
6. Supports talent & capability development of more junior medical and scientific affairs community across the matrix.
7. Identifies synergies and leverages opportunities across Haleon Medical & Scientific Affairs around the world, partnering with global organization, Categories, and BUs.
8. Supports externally on medical issues of Consumer Healthcare products globally.
9. Develops global position of issues involving the entire portfolio for review with CMO.
10. Provides advice and direction on medical issues to the Haleon business worldwide.
11. Facilitates the Haleon R&D trusted ingredient agenda, proactively assessing risk and enabling mitigation plans.
12. Leads the R&D trusted ingredient SME team.
13. Articulates the Haleon global medical and scientific affairs approach under the Haleon quality management system.
14. Represents Haleon on medical and benefit-risk with regulatory agencies worldwide, as necessary.
15. Works closely with QSC on aspects of product quality that impact product benefit-risk.
