MOBILE AREA SUPERVISOR
Location: Worthing, Sussex (BN11 1LD)
Hours of work: 40 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent
ISS is currently seeking a dedicated Mobile Area Supervisor to oversee the safe, compliant, and competent delivery of soft facility services across a designated region.
In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our high standards of service are maintained while leading a team of cleaning and facility staff.
Job Description
Reporting directly to the Regional Operations Manager, you will take charge of line managing and supervising your team, fostering a positive work environment with an emphasis on collaboration and efficiency.
Your leadership will be crucial in delivering exceptional service to our clients, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and align with ISS values.

Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain a healthy, safe and secure environment and ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation.
2. Roster Cleaning and facility Placemakers to ensure that all sites are manned to contractual requirements and covering any sickness or planned absences.
3. Ensure all documents such as Audits, COSHH, H&S and SOPs etc. are completed, kept up to date and reviewed at appropriate times.
4. Ensure effective recruitment, training and development of frontline staff.
5. Ensure all services are delivered in a commercially responsible way.
6. Ensure all customer queries / complaints are correctly recorded through the customer complaints procedure.
7. Ensure all relevant periodic reporting and required paperwork and administration is completed on time.
8. Ensuring rigorous cost control within agreed plans, such as expenditure in materials, consumable, pay and agency labour usage.
9. Maximise additional revenue opportunities such as extra cover and ad hoc work, as well as margin improvement opportunities through price reviews and additional services.
10. Ensure effective supervision and management of staff within your control.
About You
1. Previous supervisory experience – gained from working in either a Facilities Management or cleaning services environment.
2. Great organisational skills with the ability to work under your own initiative, whilst following guidance from line management.
3. Demonstrable ability to understand the impact of their service outcomes towards the success of the contract delivery.
4. Ability to solve challenging operational problems in a timely and resilient way.
5. Excellent communication skills with people at all levels.
