SEN Teaching Assistant | Primary School | Clapham Common (SW4) | ASAP Start | £95 - £110 per day, term time only We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a thriving primary school in Clapham Common (SW4). In this role, you will be assisting students with special educational needs, ensuring they are engaged in their learning and receive the help they need to develop academically, socially, and emotionally. You will work alongside the class teacher and SENCo, delivering one-to-one and small group interventions designed to support progress. Key Responsibilities: Provide individual and small group support for children with SEN, helping them stay engaged in lessons Adapt teaching materials and activities to meet specific learning needs Support students with communication, emotional regulation, and behaviour management and SEN Support (ASD) Assist in setting up a positive and structured classroom environment Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals Keep track of student development and provide feedback to help adjust learning plansThe suitable candidate will have: Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent (preferred but not essential) Experience supporting SEN students in a primary school setting A calm, patient, and supportive approach to working with children with additional needs Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with staff and familiesAdditional Information: Full-time role, Monday to Friday £95 - £110 per day, term time only Located in Clapham Common (SW4) with excellent transport links Immediate start, long-term placement with potential for a permanent roleIf you're passionate about helping children with SEN thrive in a school setting, we'd love to hear from you.
