We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer (Mechanical) to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams within the Design Office to deliver comprehensive and coherent mechanical design solutions. This role involves design, validation, project management, and support activities, ensuring the highest standards of mechanical systems engineering.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide mechanical systems engineering solutions to customer queries in collaboration with the Customer Service Department.
* Supply technical data to the Technical Publications Department for the creation of Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Lists, Service Bulletins, and Maintenance Schedules, and review these documents for technical accuracy.
* Analyse and decide on actions related to Design Query Forms (DQFs), Non-Conformance reports (NCRs), Production Permits, and Concessions pertaining to mechanical systems engineering.
* Work closely with Production Engineering and Production Departments to ensure seamless implementation of design requirements.
* Provide technical support to the Buying Department by preparing buying lists and approving alternative parts.
* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams within the Design Office to produce mechanical design solutions and packages.
* Perform design calculations and simulations to validate mechanical systems and components.
* Manage and execute validation and verification activities within the scope of individual approval as defined in the Signatory Matrix.
* Liaise with equipment suppliers to address and resolve in-service problems.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Strong understanding of aircraft mechanical systems i.e Fuel, Hydraulics, Flight Control, De-Icing system etc.
* Strong understanding of aircraft mechanical design and engineering principles.
* Proficiency in performing design calculations and simulations.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the aerospace industry.
* Experience with technical documentation and validation processes.
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
* 5 GCSEs Grade C/4+ incl Maths / English
* Degree / HND / HNC in Aerospace, systems or related engineering subject
* An Engineering apprenticeship in aircraft or similar allied industries CAD training qualification would be highly desirable
* Aircraft Mechanical Systems Engineering principle
* Detailed understanding of Mechanical Systems integration
* Experience in an aerospace design environment
