We’re currently recruiting for a Transport Supervisor to be based in our customer site in Holywell. As part of this busy transport operation, you’ll ensure the timely and safe dispatch of own and subcontracted drivers across Monday to Friday.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £35,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
1. Line Manager responsibilities for all driver colleagues on the site
2. Daily communication with drivers – ensuring all drivers are sent daily work schedules and validating all runs.
3. Responsibility for driver compliance management including infringements, DCPC hours and using operational tools such as Optifleet, Vue, ePod, Trailer-master and TC75’s.
4. Managing subcontracted loads to ensure they are dispatched in time to achieve deliveries
5. Ensuring all drivers, own and subcontracted are logged on and correctly using the systems, communicating non-compliance and escalation if needed
6. Allocating driver resources to plan WTS
7. Carry out full investigations in conjunction with HR in the event of any disciplinary issues
8. Carry out Toolbox talks with drivers
9. Sign off all holiday requests and ensure updated on the holiday planner
10. Ensure the sickness process is followed and all sickness is managed through AMP and all return to works complete
11. Driver recruitment responsibilities including interviews, assessments, right to works and inductions are completed in line with company policies
12. Ensure the training matrix is up to date, including the planning of the training and communication to drivers
13. Entering timesheet data onto the payroll spreadsheet
14. Carry out resource planning for agency drivers
What you need to succeed at XPO:
1. Previous experience within a transport / logistics organisation
2. Experience of managing conflicting priorities in a fast moving environment
3. CPC* would be desirable
4. Working knowledge of driver hours regulations
5. Good geographical knowledge of the UK
6. Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements
