Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 2-week rota / Shift Times: 6am-14.00pm or 13.30pm-21.30pm
Must be flexible as you will be On call for 2 weeks & 2 weeks Off Call - An additional £401pm EXTRA!
Job Description
Our client is seeking a proactive and dedicated security advisor to join our team. This role involves providing expert security advice and support to our service, projects, and programmes, ensuring consistent and effective standards of information and guidance in line with defined security policies.
You will act as a focal point for stakeholders, managers, and staff, ensuring security operations are managed in accordance with current HMG Security Policy Framework and our client policies, controls, and standards.
1. Providing audits including detailed reports.
2. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of company systems and procedures.
3. Building Access Control System, ensuring information is accurate and up-to-date.
4. Actively promote security awareness among all employees.
5. Foster excellent customer relationships by providing timely advice and support to employees and managers.
6. Manage day-to-day team activities, acting as line manager and lead by example.
7. Deliver security advice to employees, line managers, and external agencies, liaising with external agencies and other Security Controllers.
8. Provide strong presentation skills to support and facilitate management decision-making.
9. Exhibit strong negotiation and influencing skills to drive results.
10. Be flexible and adapt to change, with a proactive approach and continuous improvement.
11. Ensure communication is open, honest, and effective while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
12. Maintain and operate the Security Database system.
13. Attend regular Security Team meetings to review progress, relationships, policies, and ensure information flow within the team.
14. Manage time and priorities effectively, collaborating with line manager.
15. Regularly review achievements against objectives and participate in change initiatives.
16. Incident Investigations.
17. Comply with SHE policies and procedures.
18. Undertake any given tasks by management.

Essential Skills
* Valid SIA Licence.
* Provide 5 years checkable work history.
* Pass DV Clearance.
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Excellent decision making.
* Min 3 years experience in a similar role.
* Experience in personal security, physical security, and IT security.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strategic thinking and planning skills.
