We are recruiting for a Land & Measured Building Surveyor to work within the Measured Survey team based in Northampton. We are seeking someone with the desire to build good client relationships and deliver an existing portfolio of works to a high standard. We offer a varied and exciting role based primarily in the land, property and infrastructure sectors with the opportunity for a Surveyor to utilise existing experience, develop new skills and be part of a growing team.
You will undertake measured surveys, setting out and laser scanning across the UK in a variety of environments, processing your work and checking the work of others to ensure that our standards are adhered to. You will mentor junior members of the team and assist in developing the Measured Survey capability.

Main Tasks
* Production of plans, drawings, models and reports.
* Carrying out topographical, measured building, boundary determination surveys and laser scanning.
* Responsible for checking the work of others.
* Provide technical support to the wider measured survey team.
* Provide advice to ensure that best practice is adopted.
* Implement the use of new equipment, software and survey techniques.
* Support the Head of Measured Survey with technical input into tenders and fee proposals as required.
* Provide feedback and mentor members of the measured survey team.
What will it take to become successful?
We are seeking a Topographic / Land & Measured Building Surveyor who is experienced in carrying out topographical and measured building surveys. Experience with UAV or a desire to work with UAV drone surveying would be advantageous. The chosen Surveyor will ideally have knowledge of boundary disputes and boundary determination surveys preferable but not essential. Experience in the use of total stations, GNSS, laser scanners and other survey equipment is required along with strong knowledge of Trimble Business Centre, would be advantageous. Previous team leading experience with the ability to mentor staff would be required. It would be an advantage if you are a member of RICS or CICES or ideally have the desire to become a member.
