Base pay range
Location: London – 2/3 days per week onsite/in office.
Package: 25 days holiday, pension, performance-related bonus
Background: Experience in Public Sector, Banking, and Insurance as a consultant is highly preferred.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to join a leading organisation at the forefront of designing, building, and modernising mission-critical technology systems. As a Cloud Architect, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between stakeholders and technical teams, shaping robust solutions from conception to implementation.
This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong background in cloud, DevSecOps, and hybrid infrastructure to take on a leadership position in delivering complex transformation projects. Consulting experience is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the technical authority, guiding stakeholders from clients to vendors and delivery teams.
* Lead solution design, ensuring alignment with business and technology strategies.
* Architect and implement cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
* Oversee platform engineering efforts, driving automation and DevSecOps best practices.
* Define and implement cloud-native operations tooling for observability and governance.
* Ensure seamless cloud service adoption and optimization, enhancing customer infrastructure.
* Apply Agile, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and product-based delivery methodologies.
* Lead large-scale transformation projects, integrating IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and automation frameworks.
Required Experience
* 6+ years of experience in architecture, cloud solutions, and DevSecOps.
* Expertise in platform engineering, including Kubernetes, serverless, and automation.
* Strong background in hybrid cloud environments, including Azure Stack, AWS Outposts, and Anthos.
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and GitHub workflows.
* Proven ability to drive cloud adoption, security controls, and integration strategies.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a customer-centric approach.
Desirable Experience & Certifications
* The Open Group Master Certified Architect or equivalent.
* Certifications in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
* Knowledge of API integration, security, advanced storage solutions, and FinOps principles.
