Daytime Healthcare are assisting a national Supported Living organisation who are seeking an Assistant Service Manager to join in the Stowmarket area.
Our service in Woolpit (Stowmarket) is looking for a new full-time Assistant Service Manager to join the current staff team and work alongside the Service Manager to ensure a smooth running of the service. In this role, you will be expected to work across a 7-day rota which will include working every other weekend. There is also participation for an On Call Rota.
Full UK Driving license and access to own vehicle is needed due to the rural location of this service.
The service users within this service enjoy various activities which include attending clubs within the community, which would need to be supported by the team, as well as cooking and art activities.

1. Work with your Service Manager to use management information to make sound business decisions.
2. Experience of working with people disadvantaged through illness and disability.
3. Understands the balance between keeping our people safe and positive risk-taking.
4. Maintain an understanding of the social care sector and how it impacts on areas of responsibility and the organisation.
5. Assist the Service Manager to encourage a solution-led culture.
6. Maintain a practical knowledge of policies and procedures and ensure appropriate usage.
7. Effectively recruit, develop and manage employees in a fair and consistent manner.
8. Work with your Service Manager to reinforce a culture of continuous improvement (through analysis of information and data provided).
9. Act as the Service Manager in their absence.
10. Level 3 diploma or equivalent experience needed.
