This highly acquisitive company is seeking a skilled professional to join their team for a 3-4-month contract, offering a competitive daily rate of £250-£300 via Umbrella.
The role requires an immediate start and offers a flexible work arrangement of 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home.
Key Details:
1. Location: Gloucester
2. Rate: £250-£300 per day (via Umbrella)
3. Duration: 3-4 months
4. Flexible Working: 2 days in the office, 3 days from home
Key Responsibilities:
Management Accounts
5. Prepare and post prepayments, accruals, depreciation, and amortisation.
6. Update balance sheet working files throughout the month-end process.
7. Own the monthly management accounts and reporting packs for various companies.
8. Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and explain any required adjustments.
9. Prepare commission calculations.
10. Process VAT returns.
11. Create intercompany reports for internal usage.
P&L Analysis:
12. Review P&L for activity performed by others and justify any variances.
13. Provide detailed revenue and cost variance analysis to budget holders.
14. Support accurate divisional and group reporting and analysis.
Ad Hoc Supportive Tasks (NICE TO HAVE not essential):
15. Prepare financial year-end audit packs and liaise with auditors.
16. Provide information for statutory reporting and review draft statutory accounts.
17. Support the budgeting/forecasting process with relevant information and analysis.
18. Improve the timing, content, and accuracy of financial and management reporting.
19. Maintain and improve procedure and process documents.
