Job Duties
Job Summary – The Deputy Clerk is assigned operational responsibilities and ensures court’s instructions are executed and legal papers are prepared with accuracy and in accordance with appropriate policies and procedures. This is a small office, and the Deputy Clerk would be expected to work alone at times.
This is a wage position with no benefits. 24 hours per week; $15.00 per hour.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities –
Duties include preparing detailed court documents in accordance with established guidelines, automated case management system data entry, scheduling matters for court, preparing correspondence, filing court documents, answering phones, assisting customers at the counter and receipting payments. Must be able to multitask and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Competitive applicants will have court, business, or office-related experience. Requires knowledge and skills of general office operations and procedures (i.e. typing, filing, data entry, and receipting payments). Verbal and written communications skills.
Additional Considerations
Automated records and word processing experience a plus.
