Job Title: Quality Support Assistant

Hours of Work: 39 hours per week
Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
30-minute lunch break each day
Duration: Temporary assignment to cover an absence until January 25

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Support Assistant to join our team at our factory mill. This temporary role is essential in ensuring the continued high standards of our production processes.
Responsibilities:
* Accurately weigh and measure ingredients according to production recipes and quality standards.
* Perform manual handling tasks as required, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
* Conduct regular quality checks to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
* Accurately complete all necessary paperwork and records related to quality control.
* Wear a face mask as required and adhere to all health and safety protocols. You will be professionally fitted for the mask as part of the onboarding process.
* Work closely with the production team to ensure smooth operations and address any quality-related issues promptly.
Essential Criteria:
* Secondary level education to A-Level or equivalent standard, preferably in a Science or related subject.
* Previous experience in a quality assurance or production environment is desirable but not essential. Training will be provided.
Skills:
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in basic computer skills and data entry.
Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks.
Health and Safety: Willingness to wear a face mask and adhere to all health and safety protocols.
Desirable Qualifications:
Qualifications in Food Science/Quality/Technology: While not mandatory, qualifications in these areas are highly desirable.
HACCP and BRC Knowledge: Familiarity with HACCP and BRC quality management systems is advantageous.
Internal Auditing Experience: Previous experience in internal auditing is a plus.
