Hays Legal is exclusively instructed with a rare in-house employment opportunity. This is an exceptional opportunity to work within a high-profile Yorkshire based organisation on key and often sensitive matters.
The successful employment lawyer will:
1. Provide advice on day-to-day employment issues (contentious and non-contentious) together with commercial recommendations.
2. Conduct negotiations on behalf of the organisation if a dispute has arisen, at Employment Tribunal as appropriate.
3. Work closely with the HRD.
4. Conduct ET advocacy and instruct Counsel/external lawyers as appropriate.
5. Act as an advocate at internal tribunal proceedings (i.e. disciplinary & appeal hearings).
6. Draft, update and review employment contracts, policies, procedures etc.
7. Deliver training to the HR team & others.
