Pharmacy Assistant - Aseptic Services - West London - NHS Hospital

1. Job Title: Senior Pharmacy Assistant, Aseptic Services, Band 3.
2. Location: West London
3. Duration: 6 months minimum
4. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 9am - 5:15pm, 45 min break
5. Start Date: October/November 2024
6. Rate of pay: £14.40ph - 16ph depending on experience.
Details of the role:
* Assist in providing an aseptic service to Trust.
* Participate in the preparation of aseptic products Chemotherapy and Parenteral Nutrition for use in the wards and supply to other hospitals.
* Ensure good housekeeping in the aseptic clean rooms and other aseptic service areas.
* Stock Control duties: receipting, unpacking, checking and recording deliveries.
* Comply with Cleanroom Personnel behavior.
* Generate worksheets and labels according to prescription and SOPs.
Requirements and qualifications required for this role:
Experience
Essential:
* For band 3; Experience of working in a hospital compounding unit or pharmaceutical industry (preferably in a clean room environment) or equivalent experience.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of the Principles of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
* Awareness of handling anti-cancer products.
* Experience in a Quality Assurance environment including monitoring and validation.
* Previous satisfactory performance in a busy team-oriented environment.
Skills Abilities/knowledge
Essential:
* Ability to communicate effectively in clear English with members of the public and with other health care professionals.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and with staff at all levels.
* Time management / Organisational / Problem-solving Skills; ability to prioritize own workload and that of others and to manage own time effectively.
* Computer skills: ability to use Microsoft Office applications e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook.
Working hours and contract duration:
Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 9am - 5:15pm, 45 minute break, 6 months minimum.
