liveArgyll is a charity that operates leisure and sport facilities, libraries, halls, and community centres across Argyll and Bute.
We are seeking an individual with energy, drive, and passion to join our operations team as a liveArgyll Assistant (Receptionist).
As a liveArgyll Assistant (Receptionist), you will be required to work as part of a team, primarily stationed at Helensburgh Leisure Centre.
However, there will be an expectation for you to work flexibly between venues within the Helensburgh and Lomond geographic area.
Your primary responsibilities will include providing a welcoming and efficient front-of-house service to all customers.
This will require undertaking organised tasks such as answering telephone enquiries, selling memberships, processing bookings through our management system, handling cash, assisting with general customer enquiries, and receiving deliveries.
You will also be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations by supporting administrative functions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the reception area remains clean and presentable.
In addition to your reception duties, you will play a key role in enhancing the customer experience, assisting with facility tours, and ensuring customers feel supported during their visits.
You may also assist by supporting general health and safety procedures, and collaborating with other staff to ensure the facility operates smoothly.
To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
Essential
* Ability to work flexibly, including early shifts, back shifts, weekends, and public holidays
Desirable
* Manual Handling, COSHH, H&S Training, First Aid training
* Experience in customer-facing roles or administrative/reception duties
* Proficient literacy and numeracy skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Strong customer service and hosting skills
* Organisational ability and attention to detail
* Able to work as part of a team and independently
