Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Industrial Product Sales & Purchasing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of industrial products, including fasteners, cutting tools, abrasives, and MRO supplies, and have a proven track record in sales and purchasing. Proficiency with Epicor's Prophet21 ERP is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
* Sales:
o Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers that may call in.
o Provide technical product support and recommendations to customers.
o Prepare and discuss sales proposals and quotations with customers.
o Maintain accurate sales records and customer information.
* Purchasing:
o Source and procure industrial products from reliable suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and timely delivery.
o Manage inventory levels to optimize stock availability and minimize carrying costs.
o Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers.
o Process purchase orders and track shipments.
o Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
o Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to purchasing.
* Product Knowledge:
o Maintain a thorough understanding of fasteners, cutting tools, abrasives, MRO products, and other industrial supplies.
o Stay up-to-date on industry trends and new product developments.
* Systems and Reporting:
o Utilize Epicor Prophet21 to manage sales orders, purchase orders, inventory, and customer data.
o Generate reports and analyze data to identify sales trends, purchasing efficiencies, and areas for improvement.
o Maintain accurate records of all sales and purchasing activities.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in industrial product sales and purchasing.
* Strong knowledge of fasteners, cutting tools, abrasives, and MRO products.
* Proficiency with Epicor Prophet21 is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* A valid drivers license.
