We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacist to join our Primary Care team at HMP Isle of Wight. HMP Isle of Wight is a category B male training prison, located on a small island, around 8 minutes from St Marys Hospital and 26 minutes away from Cowes Ferry Terminal. This role is a fantastic opportunity that would suit an experienced pharmacist who thrives on working within a fast-paced environment and collaboratively within clinical teams, working closely with both the pharmacy manager and pharmacy lead.
This site also offers the opportunity to source and complete an independent prescriber role for the right candidate.

Our core hours on site are 7.30am-5.30pm Monday to Friday.
Salary
This position is full time, and you will receive an annual salary up to £61,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Main Duties of the Job
At Practice Plus Group, our pharmacy teams ensure medicines optimisation is embedded into everyday practice.
You'll be responsible for:
* The provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service.
* Working closely with the Head of Healthcare and the multidisciplinary team to ensure that the provision of service meets contractual obligations.
* Providing daily expert advice on pharmaceutical matters and ensuring that a safe but modern medicines management service is provided to prisoners.
* Leading a team of support staff and working closely with a range of clinicians and non-clinicians from Primary Care, Mental Health, and other health partners to ensure effective delivery of pharmacy services.

You will be a qualified Registered Pharmacist with a BSc or Masters Degree in Pharmacy, holding registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council. You will have a real passion for developing your pharmaceutical skills and those of your team.
