Veolia WTS is seeking a Payroll Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in payroll accounting and regulatory reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across multiple UK and Ireland-based payroll schemes. As our Payroll Accounting Specialist, you will be the linchpin in maintaining the integrity of our payroll systems and processes. You'll work closely with our external provider (ADP) and internal HR teams to ensure all accounting, statutory, and tax reporting deadlines are met with precision. Your strong end-to-end payroll and pension knowledge will make you a valuable asset during internal and external audits, driving continuous improvements in reporting and accounting for payroll reconciliations. In this role, you'll be responsible for the financial aspects of payroll, focusing on accounting and regulatory reporting obligations. You'll play a crucial role in monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, as well as supporting compliance with employee share schemes, BIK reporting, and Short Term Business visitor reporting. What are the Day-to-Day Duties? • Support monthly payroll processes by extracting data and creating accounting documents • Reconcile UK payroll control accounts and ensure suitable accounting postings • Lead the creation and submission of annual payroll processes (P60, P11D, PSA, ERS returns) • Manage HMRC gateway accounts and employee changes • Liaise with UK HR teams and group accounting teams on global systems and process developments • Serve as lead contact for internal and external payroll audits • Partner with senior HR members to review and extend payrolling of benefits in kind • Review and streamline payroll reporting, recommending new software solutions as needed • Maintain UK payroll account mappings in compliance with legislation and group policy • Ensure short term business visa compliance and employee share scheme reporting accuracy
