This role is a dual role between driving duties as required by site and the role of a maintenance assistant
The driving aspect of this role will involve taking patients on leave from the hospital to local facilities/ hospital appointments and repatriations to the different areas of the country.
The individual is responsible for reporting into the Maintenance Manager and for ensuring the Common Maintenance Standards are maintained of the service.
The Maintenance assistant will contribute to the delivery of effective, efficient and economical day-to-day maintenance, new and alteration works to ensure the safety of colleagues, service users and visitors and that they experience a pleasant and cared for environment.
Must have working knowledge and experience of site planned maintenance experience, undertaking of maintenance related tasks, health and safety insight, proactive safety measures / risk management.
WHAT WE WOULD LIKE FROM YOU:
1. Previous experience in indoor painting, minor home repairs including Plumbing, Electrical, grounds maintenance, decorating and other related remedial works.
2. Full, clean licence for driving the site maintenance van.
3. Committed and enthusiastic
4. Ability to carry out weekly, monthly and quarterly checks at site relating to fire call point, window Restrictor checks, fire door checks, alarm checks etc., and document reports.
5. Able to use own initiative

Job Advert Role Description
Lakeside View is a 30 bedded hospital in Willenhall that cares for patients who are 18 years and over in an acute setting.
17. Finch Ward - 13 bedded male acute ward
18. Robin Ward - 8 bedded male acute ward
19. Swan Ward - 9 bedded female acute ward
The aim at Lakeside View is to provide a person-centred approach and therapeutic environment, which promotes collaborative care planning to optimise treatment goals. Right from the point of admission to our acute services, our aim is to support patients to be discharged safely back into the community where they can continue to progress towards recovery in a less restrictive environment.
This will be achieved by:

22. A range of interventions available from a diverse MDT
23. Being cared for in the least restrictive environment
The acute wards on site provides patients with excellent space and facilities, including en-suite bedrooms and large living spaces furnished with activity equipment such as games consoles.
Outside of the wards, a purpose built therapy suite contains a rehabilitation kitchen for patient cooking sessions, and a sessional therapy room. The hospital is set in the centre of an extensive nature reserve, which contains an abundance of flora & fauna. The site also has areas for outside sports activity.
The clinical team at Lakeside View encourage full involvement of the service user, their family and external professionals throughout their stay. They are invited to attend Ward Reviews and CPA meetings to ensure clear communication throughout the care pathway in order to promote individuals' recovery and facilitate discharge.
In order to maximise recovery, interventions offered include a wide range of therapeutic approaches, combining psychiatric and cognitive behavioural perspectives with occupational therapy, psychology, leisure and recreational activity.
