Assistant Predictive Maintenance Engineer
As an Assistant Predictive Maintenance Engineer, you will play a critical role in enhancing aircraft availability by continuously monitoring the fleet's operational status and identifying reliability and performance issues using the Airbus Skywise platform. You will be responsible for developing, managing, and refining predictive alerts within the Skywise Predictive Maintenance (SPM) system to proactively address potential concerns. Additionally, you will contribute to improving overall aircraft performance and maintaining continued airworthiness by conducting front-line reviews of fleet operational data and performance trends through the SPM system.
What you’ll be doing:
In this role, you will collaborate closely with Airbus and the easyJet data team to develop and refine predictive maintenance algorithms, ensuring they are calibrated effectively for live operations. You will provide troubleshooting assistance to Maintenance Control for repetitive faults and act as a technical liaison with OEMs, vendors, and external agencies. You will monitor live predictive alerts, provide feedback at technical review meetings, and enhance processes to improve fleet availability. Additionally, you will use the Skywise Core platform to support model calibration, fleet health monitoring, and drive continuous improvement in predictive maintenance. Compliance with company procedures and safety standards, along with contributing to achieving contracted aircraft availability targets, will be integral to your role.
What you’ll need to do the role:
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about safety and demonstrates a proactive, collaborative attitude that promotes positive working relationships. You should be adaptable to the demands of a dynamic environment and focused on delivering results while maintaining accuracy and meeting agreed timescales. Strong data analysis skills within an engineering environment, ideally in aviation, are essential, and experience with aircraft maintenance—particularly on the A320 family—is advantageous. You will have a keen attention to detail, continuously evaluating performance to maintain high standards and drive best practices. The role also requires effective communication skills to share knowledge and ideas with colleagues and suppliers, as well as the flexibility to travel for meetings and conferences.
