ABOUT THIS ROLE
We are looking for individuals with a passion for retail, who are fast learners and thrive in a busy environment. Experience in commercial retail or sales is required, as well as an outgoing personality, matched with a keen eye for detail and a passion for selling. This is a permanent position with contracts starting in April. Shifts/days are to be confirmed and will vary depending on the time of year.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
1. Ensure that all members of the public are offered a warm welcome and exceptional customer service.
2. Assist visitors with general enquiries, respond to emails and answer telephone calls.
3. Provide professional and efficient service to all visitors and act as the first point of contact for customers.
4. Process shop sales, handle payments and cash sales.
5. Upsell and cross-sell various products to ensure sales targets are met e.g. memberships, events and classes.
6. Ensure the shop is always presentable, clean and well merchandised.
7. Ensure stock is replenished and accurately priced.
8. Assist with online sales, fulfill orders and help update/manage the online shop.
Essential Skills
1. Exceptional customer service skills with proven retail or sales experience.
2. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
3. Super organisational skills with good attention to detail.
4. Trustworthy and reliable.
5. Confident and able to deal with people at all levels.
6. Professional appearance and friendly manner.
7. Basic knowledge of using Outlook, Word and Excel.
8. A driver’s license is preferred due to our remote location.
9. Comfortable working to targets.
