Primary School Teacher – Gillingham Area
Location: Gillingham, Dorset
Position: Full-Time
Role Overview:
As a Primary School Teacher, you will take on the exciting and rewarding responsibility of delivering high-quality, engaging lessons across a range of subjects to children aged 4-11. Your role will involve ensuring that each child receives the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. You will work in close collaboration with colleagues to provide an enriching, creative, and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teaching: Deliver stimulating, well-structured lessons across the full primary curriculum, ensuring that content is accessible to all students.
* Assessment & Feedback: Regularly assess and monitor student progress, adapting lessons to meet the needs of individual learners.
* Classroom Management: Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment where children feel valued, respected, and motivated to learn.
* Differentiation & Inclusion: Provide learning activities to meet the diverse needs of all students, including those with additional learning needs or English as an Additional Language (EAL).
Qualifications and Experience:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is required.
* Experience teaching in a primary school setting is desirable, but applications from Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) will also be considered.
* Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum, assessment practices, and safeguarding procedures.
* A creative and flexible approach to teaching with the ability to inspire and engage children of all abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
* A passion for teaching and a commitment to creating a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively, ensuring all tasks and responsibilities are completed in a timely manner.
Desirable:
* Experience working with children who have special educational needs (SEN).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
