Pax Lodge, located in London, is one of the five World Centres of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). Offering hostel accommodation, conference facilities, and international volunteering programmes, Pax Lodge is a meeting place for members and families of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts worldwide.
We are now looking for a Front of House Co-ordinator to join us on a full-time, fixed-term basis for 24 months, working 37.5 hours per week, including shifts covering days, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

The Role
As a Front of House Co-ordinator, you will oversee the reception at Pax Lodge and support the smooth running of the hostel.
Specifically, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional experience to guests and visitors, establishing a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
In this diverse and engaging role, you will work across reception, accommodation, the gift shop, conferences, the dining room, meal services and events within Pax Lodge.
Additionally, you will:
- Co-ordinate the accommodation system
- Welcoming guests and handle check-ins and check-outs
- Set up events and provide on-the-day support
- Respond to enquiries via phone, email, or in person
- Co-ordinate conference bookings and prepare meeting spaces
About You
To be considered as the Front of House Co-ordinator, you will need:
- Experience working in a hotel, hostel, or Guide/Scout Centre
- Strong administrative skills
- Excellent numeracy, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proven time management and multitasking abilities
- Fluent written and verbal English skills
- Flexibility, patience, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities
