As one of our HGV Drivers, you will be an essential part of our Transport Operations, delivering and collecting plant and accommodation equipment to and from customer premises. This role requires a customer-focused approach, safety consciousness, and a passion for providing excellent service. Key area's of responsibilities will include:
> Supervision of loading: Ensure that equipment/plant is correctly loaded onto the vehicle in a safe and efficient manner, in line with customer orders.
> Delivery & Collection: Safely deliver and collect plant and accommodation equipment, respecting the customer's property and site requirements.
> Customer Interaction: Check goods off with the customer upon delivery, ensuring accuracy and obtaining a signature for the delivery form.
> Safe Driving: Operate the vehicle safely and in full compliance with traffic laws, ensuring the safety of yourself, the vehicle, and others on the road.
> Reporting: Report any damages, safety issues, accidents, or significant problems to the Transport Compliance Manager in a timely manner.
Are you the right person for this role?
To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:
> HGV Cat C+E Licence (Essential).
> Hiab Ticket (Essential) – Experience operating a Hiab crane to load/unload goods.
> Strong communication and customer service skills to interact with clients in a professional and friendly manner.
> A flexible approach to work, including willingness to adapt to changing schedules and tasks.
> Good time management skills to ensure deliveries are completed efficiently.
> Safety-conscious with a keen awareness of road safety regulations and best practices.
> Solid geographical knowledge of Scotland and the ability to navigate effectively to customer locations.
> Experience in a similar HGV driving role, ideally in plant/accommodation hire.
> IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) certification for operating mobile elevating work platforms - Preferred, but not required.
> ADR (Hazardous Goods) Certification – Preferred, but not required.
