Job Summary: Job Description: At a glance Working pattern - This is a hybrid working role, therefore your time will be split between working from home and the Bracknell Head Office. There will be occasional travel to our other offices, shops and agency partner locations. The Research & Insight management team aims to spend 2 days a week in their primary office to connect, with additional office attendance on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings. Salary range - The salary range for this role is set at £57,400 - £92,000 Contract type - This position is a permanent contract About the role To scope, manage, and deliver primary research (qual & quant) generating qualified/validated insight to inform and drive better business decision making and improve customer & Partner experience by championing and providing the most complete 360 view of our customers What you lead Lead line of business team to deliver against plans, ensuring that resourcing pipelines are completed up to a quarter in advance Lead a variety of research projects to deliver clear, relevant and actionable insight to stakeholders, integrating input from multiple team members and data sources across the Data, Insight and Analytics department Lead project team including scoping of research objectives and agreeing project plan, timings and budgets with key stakeholders & line manager ensuring research objectives are clear and agreed with key stakeholders, and adopt the most appropriate methodology to deliver robust actionable insights. What you act as the evangelist for Deliver best in class primary research, designed and scoped to maximise impact and drive evidence based decision making Articulate, document and promote the business impact of research-driven insights Ensure your team creates regular case studies demonstrating the value added through the research insight delivered. Use these to raise awareness of team impact and for feedback to our research panel Your QA responsibilities Manage a clear QA process ensuring all scripts; surveys; screeners and discussion guides are designed to gold standard and that output is thoroughly checked and triangulated before being presented to senior stakeholders within lines of business and uploaded to the Litehouse (JLP’s insight portal). Deliver concise, compelling and validated insight in an engaging way using excellent communication and visualisation skills and a persuasive and interesting manner to stakeholders. Your team management responsibilities Lead a happy and high performing team as judged by the Happiness survey & ongoing contribution and objective setting linked to Business scorecards Manage regular team meetings to ensure a sense of connection and foster a sharing culture around research outputs and broader DI&A connections The Agencies and supplier partners you manage Manage the complete agency roster to deliver against the pipeline of projects & needs within lines of business and adhering to costs and timings Manage agency optimisation and improvement processes including contracts and relevant procurement systems needs Consider innovative opportunities to reach target groups and stay up to date with new research & data techniques to keep driving expertise capabilities forwards Product and toolkits Manage the best in class toolkit of our research tools including a clear pipeline of improvement opportunities Deliver a regular roadshow of events and activities to promote and cascade research insight findings Essential Skills you’ll need 5-10 years experience in a relevant Insight or Research role, leading significant & strategic research projects Extensive hands-on experience proven in designing and delivering complex projects, demonstrating expertise in a range of methodologies e.g. qualitative approaches, discussion guide design, interview moderation and analysis & quantitative research methods, questionnaire design, scripting and data analysis Experience in creative / proposition / AB testing Combining primary research outputs with other data sources to deliver robust business cases to Senior stakeholders Proficient at distilling insights and implications from data and research and synthesising complex and ambiguous information in order to drive actionable insight A confident and experienced storyteller – written and verbal. Exceptional problem solving, numerical skills and commercial acumen Ability to rapidly learn and self-develop A passion for primary research and demonstrable focus on research best practice Experience managing high performing research teams and collaboration with consultancies and partner agencies Experience presenting to and engaging with Senior Stakeholders Managing and prioritising a complex and fast moving portfolio of work with appropriate discipline.
