We have an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic and driven Head of Department to lead and grow a thriving Residential Conveyancing team with the backing of a well-respected firm.
This role is ideal for an experienced solicitor or conveyancer who is ready to take the helm of a busy department, driving strategy, enhancing client experience, and inspiring a talented team to deliver outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership & Strategy: Spearhead the department’s strategic growth and direction, aligning with firm-wide objectives to ensure the team consistently achieves its goals.
* Client Excellence: Champion exceptional client care, focusing on innovative solutions and efficiency to make the conveyancing process smooth, transparent, and client-focused.
* Team Development: Mentor, support, and lead a team of conveyancers and support staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
* Business Development: Drive growth by building and nurturing relationships with estate agents, mortgage brokers, and other key stakeholders, and identify opportunities to expand the market share.
* Risk & Compliance: Oversee compliance with regulatory standards and manage risk effectively, ensuring the department operates to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.

Required:
o Ideally you will have over 8 years of experience within residential property.
o You will be a qualified solicitor, CLC, CILEX or a well established non-qualified fee earner.
o Ability to manage a varied caseload, whilst supervising and mentoring a team of junior fee earners.
o Consistent and proven track record of billings.
o Have a keen interest in business development, and consistently seek ways in which to promote the firm.
o Strong ability to win and retain clients.
o Excellent client care skills, project management skills, and a personable approach to mentoring/upskilling.
