About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering a bespoke curriculum designed to meet the individual needs of students aged 11-16 who struggle to access mainstream education. Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering engaging English lessons tailored to students' academic and emotional needs.
Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment to help students overcome barriers to learning.
Encouraging personal growth and helping students develop communication, literacy, and confidence.
Monitoring progress and implementing strategies to ensure students reach their full potential academically and socially.
Working closely with a team of dedicated staff to support the unique challenges of each student.
Job Requirements for this English Teacher role in Worcester:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience working with children or young people with SEND/SEMH needs
Strong ability to create and deliver tailored teaching approaches
Commitment to supporting students in overcoming barriers to learning and achieving academic qualifications
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Ability to provide two years of employer references
Reliability, positivity, and resilience to adapt to the challenges of the role
