Our flagship UK plant in Havant, Hampshire is currently in the process of increasing internal capability within facilities and equipment maintenance, and as a result, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Site Maintenance Manager to oversee our new site maintenance team. This role will have responsibility for overseeing maintenance operations for the facility by leading the site maintenance team, who are responsible for the preventative and reactive maintenance activities across the plant, ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and promoting a safe working environment.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for the role of Site Maintenance Manager include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Oversee and manage the maintenance team, including training and performance evaluations.
2. Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies to optimize equipment performance and longevity.
3. Monitor downtime occurrences and efficiencies of production areas, aiming for continuous improvement.
4. Train, motivate, and direct employees to follow safe, quality work methods and standards.
5. Manage KPI performance of the entire department to achieve set objectives.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address equipment performance issues.
7. Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems to the faulty component.
8. Follow all site Safety Rules.
Qualifications
As Site Maintenance Manager, we would expect you to display the following:
1. Degree qualification or similar relevant qualifications, with EHS / IOSH qualification preferred.
2. Demonstrable experience in a supervisory role within maintenance in the manufacturing industry.
3. Strong technical skills and knowledge of advanced processing and process equipment specifically around troubleshooting electrical/mechanical components.
4. A well-organized approach, with an ability to prioritize tasks and react swiftly to changing priorities.
5. Able to operate computer and system interface programs to ensure appropriate computing and analysis of production information.
6. Able to follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks and required documentation; demonstrate solid work performance in an environment requiring a high level of attention to detail and timeliness.
7. Strong team member, able to work well with a global team, train new team members as needed and other duties as assigned; able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize activities.
8. Proficiency with software applications, Microsoft Office, Excel, as well as specific programs such as SAP and Maximo; able to create reports and document procedures.
Advantageous, but not essential would be:
1. The ability to read and interpret electronic/hydraulic drawings, schematics, and engineering blueprints to determine problem root causes and implement corrective actions.
2. Ability to read precision measuring instruments such as Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators, Levels, and Lasers.
