Michelmersh Brick Holdings are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our team at our Telford plant as a Production Supervisor.
The successful applicant will work in our Operations team and will be responsible for managing production workflows and supporting the senior management team on site. An awareness of health and safety must be demonstrated in the workplace at all times.
Job Specification
1. Develop skills and an understanding of the production process to achieve budget output.
2. Develop skills to motivate and develop employees at all levels of the production department.
3. Follow and promote all Safety Rules, leading by example and demonstrating the relevant Health & Safety (H&S) leadership behaviours.
4. Lead and promote a positive H&S culture by following all training and adhering to all H&S policies, procedures and protocols at all times, reporting any and all hazards or issues immediately on our SHE system.
5. Develop an understanding of production methods to achieve the best possible balance between efficiency and customer requirements.
6. Learn the efficient procurement and use of all materials to maintain the smooth operation of the site.
7. Develop an understanding of the site management systems including Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental, Manufacturing EPR permit, Sustainability, and Energy.
8. Establish strong communication and working relations with other functional managers and colleagues at all levels of the business.
9. Be a present and visible Leader and engage the team to create and embed a culture of high performance.
10. Develop your skills and experience within the industry. This may include (but not limited to) successfully achieving IOSH Managing Safety, IOM3 Technical Certificate L2 & L3, ILM Management L2 & L3, and ECDL L1.
11. Deliver Toolbox Talks (TBT’s) and other production training.
12. Promote the company core values daily – IRIS – INTEGRITY, RESPECT, INNOVATION, SUSTAINABILITY.
13. Identify areas for business improvement.
Previous Experience & Qualifications
1. IOSH (or willing to attain)
2. Previous experience in production supervision or team leader role essential
Personal Specifications
1. Strong understanding of IT
2. Commitment to health and safety
3. Self-motivated
4. Evolving attitude
5. Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills

1. £12.44 per hour
2. Monthly production bonus dependent on output targets being met
3. Overtime available paid at enhanced rates
