Depending on your background and project focus, you will need to be comfortable performing the following: Product Discovery, Roadmap, and Development: Gather and prioritise customer feedback to improve the product. Define and prioritise card product roadmap based on market needs, customer feedback, and business goals. Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, operations) to develop and launch new card products and features. Define product requirements, write user stories, and manage the product backlog. Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Analyse data to inform product decisions and identify opportunities for growth. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., sales, marketing, customer support) to ensure alignment and successful product launches. Communicate product updates and progress to senior management and other stakeholders. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that card issuing products comply with relevant regulations and industry standards by engaging key internal stakeholders across risk and compliance. Stay updated on regulatory changes and assess their impact on the product. Performance Monitoring: Track and analyse card product performance metrics (e.g., adoption rates, transaction volumes) to assess success and identify areas for improvement. Third-Party Partnerships: Manage relationships with card networks, payment processors, and other third-party vendors. Ensure service level agreements are met. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with card issuing products, including fraud prevention and security measures. Implement and monitor risk management strategies. Training and Support: Provide training and support to internal teams (e.g., sales, customer support) on new product features and updates. Develop documentation and resources to assist with product usage and troubleshooting. About you The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-moving business environment and be comfortable with change and uncertainty. Key experience and attributes to be successful in this role: 4 years of relevant experience as a Product Manager or similar role in a high-growth, fast-paced environment, demonstrating a strong ability to balance multiple priorities that may change frequently. Direct experience with card issuing in UK and European contexts with an in-depth understanding of card issuing processes and scheme regulations. Experience in managing card suppliers and effectively communicating essential business requirements as an issuer to enhance products and relationships. Outstanding communication skills, able to manage internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Be able to operate at a range of levels – both in terms of big picture strategic thinking, thought leadership and getting into the data and analysis. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver them on time. Understanding of financial metrics and the ability to assess the financial impact of product decisions.
