Description The Service & Team: We have an opportunity for an individual to join the Regulatory, Compliance and Communications Team. The role is part of the Business Support, Integrated Systems and Performance Service which works across Care and Wellbeing and Together for Families. The Role: The role will support communications and engagement across Adult Social Care and Together for Families. The role provides advanced and specialist communications support to Strategic Directors, Service Directors, Heads of Service and colleagues across these service areas. This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies. This position will be subject to a standard criminal record disclosure check. Working Pattern: The role will mainly be hybrid working with a requirement to work in the office with the team at least once each week. There will also be times when the successful candidate will be required to work in the office full time in relation to inspections, peer reviews, etc. What you’ll need to succeed: Successful applicants will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise appropriately with all levels of staff, customers, and other agencies. Someone with a professional approach applying discretion and diplomacy is essential. You will require a high level of competence, attention to detail, reliability, and initiative to progress and complete tasks within the area of responsibility. We also require flexibility and the ability to enjoy the challenge of working within a busy team environment, producing good quality, accurate work, sometimes to very short deadlines. Applicants should have an appropriate qualification at level 4 or above, 4 GCSEs (A-C), or equivalent, including English and Maths, and have proficient IT skills including the ability to effectively use all Microsoft Office applications. Communications experience would be advantageous, but is not essential as training will be provided. The role is mainly hybrid working. There is requirement to attend the office each week depending on tasks being undertaken and occasional travel within Cornwall. There may be times when you will be required to attend the office full time, such as during inspections or peer reviews.
