Role: Children's Support Worker
Location: Chorley
Pay: £15 - £20 per hour
Hours:
* Flexible Hours
* Day (12 hour shift) / Waking Night (12 hour shift)
* Long day sleeps (8am to 11pm sleep in)
About the Role
These roles will be working with children and young people with a range of different challenges. This can include emotional behavioural issues, mental health issues, or learning difficulties. You will be required to have at least 1 year of UK experience working in a similar role. These positions are on a 2:1 basis.
Duties Include:
* Ensure that our children and young people are provided with the highest quality of care to assist them in reaching their full potential.
* Ensure children's safety and well-being are appropriately protected at all times.
* Promote education, independent living, and maintain a healthy home environment.
* Provide detailed written notes for each shift.
* Professionally liaise with professionals.
* Uphold essential safeguarding.
* Effectively communicate with the service user and professionals.
The young people involved in these placements can have a range of needs, including:
* Challenging & aggressive behaviour
* Learning disability
* Autistic Spectrum Condition
* ADHD
* Personality Disorder
* Self-Injury
* Mental health diagnosis
* Victims of a range of abuses
* Inappropriate behaviours
Criteria for These Roles Are:
* Child and Adult DBS - on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
* Previous experience in a similar role (1 year UK experience).
* References covering the last 3 years.
* Willingness to travel to different areas.
