Primary purpose of the role The individual here is to support the FP&A Manager and the finance team with month end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, internal controls, fixed assets, and various internal reporting requirements. Responsibilities Major activities/ Key accountabilities: Fixed Assets (Capitalisations, Tagging, verification) Prepare month end journals (prepayments, accruals, stores provisions for a timely close (month end activities) Carry out stores cycle counts on a monthly basis. Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are reconciled, documented on a timely basis. Prepare the Manufacturing Dashboard and Senior Management Pack Complete ASATS (Audit Self-Assessment Tool) to ensure we are compliant with SOX 404. Assist in the external audit and ensure external audit deliverables are delivered to the agreed timetable and requirements Add value by challenging, designing, and streamlining existing processes Review policies and procedures to ensure they are up to date and relevant. Make adhoc payments to suppliers and process non-PO invoices and streamline where possible. Support FP&A Manager any adhoc queries. Technical skills required for the role: To be a capable user of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook Knowledge of double entry accounting and UK GAAP. Genuine interest and commitment in manufacturing and passion to develop. Be highly organised, ambitious with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. 1-2 years’ experience in an accounting role (preferably in a manufacturing environment). You should be deadline driven and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to develop relationships across the business and work as part of a professional, proactive finance team. Qualifications You have: (required) A minimum 2:1 degree in a finance related subject. Minimum 1 - 2 years’ experience of working in accounting / finance, preferably in manufacturing environment.
