Extra compensation will be given for out-of-hours or weekend attendance. We are seeking a highly motivated SHEQ Co-ordinator with at least 5 years relevant experience join our team. The successful candidate will carry out SHEQ activities for the various sectors the business operates in, however many projects will be focused in the railway sector within UK and Ireland. This role will ensure that SG Elite Ltd continue to comply with all legal and industry regulations and will contribute to the continued development of our safety-first culture. Key Accountabilities To maintain safety, quality, and environmental management systems to comply with legal and industry regulations which meet the requirements of ISO and 45001, RISQS accreditation Review contractual and operational documentation to ensure all aspects of SHEQ management are maintained Assist with and drive plans for improvement in capabilities and performance regarding SHEQ Contribute to the continued development of emergency and business continuity plans Review changes to legislation and industry standards, advising the management team of the implications of the changes and ensuring changes are implemented effectively Ensure any accidents, incidents, near misses or non- conformities are correctly reported and investigated in accordance with company procedure Effectively maintain accident report files, incident files, accident investigations, and corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence and other related safety concerns Undertake internal audits. Support with the creation and development of SHEQ documents (risk assessments, Toolbox talks, safe systems of work & CoSHH) and review as necessary Support the site management team by liaising with the site manager to ensure all necessary SHEQ actions are being carried out and regularly reviewed Be responsible for document control within our management systems, developing and maintaining business unit systems with the support of our SHEQ Team Maintain the contractor control database ensuring all documents are maintained Ensure company training register is up to date with the support of HR and resource manager Ensure all supplier documentation is up to date and maintained Training and induction of staff to align with business needs Experience & Qualifications 5 years SHEQ experience with considerable experience gained within the Rail industry NEBOSH Construction Certification Health and safety auditing experience Knowledge & experience of civil engineering techniques Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite including MS project or equivalent IEMA practitioner desirable Competent in the English language To apply for this role please click on the APPLY NOW button below to forward an up to date CV
