About the Role: As a Business Analyst within the Engineering function, you'll play a critical role in analysing, defining, and delivering user requirements for major customer initiatives. You'll work closely with technical teams and end-users to ensure solutions are tailored, practical, and aligned with real-world needs. This is a hands-on role where you'll take full ownership of requirements across the lifecycle-from discovery through to successful delivery-within Agile environments. Key Responsibilities Engage with stakeholders to assess, plan, and prioritise user requirements under Agile frameworks. Conduct detailed feasibility studies and scope analysis for new features and enhancements. Apply a range of techniques-interviews, workshops, document analysis, surveys-to gather business and technical requirements. Analyse and validate collected information, distilling it into clear and actionable artefacts (e.g., functional specs, use cases, wireframes). Collaborate with developers, SMEs, and stakeholders to align business goals with technical solutions. Serve as a bridge between the customer and project teams, ensuring mutual understanding and delivery of fit-for-purpose solutions. Contribute to and support various testing phases including Integration Testing, UAT, and Functionality Testing. Desirable Skills & Experience Experience in business or systems analysis roles, with formal training preferred. Strong background in modelling business processes, future states, and solution design. Familiarity with Agile tools such as DOORS and the Atlassian suite (e.g., Jira, Confluence). Understanding of Agile and iterative delivery methodologies, and how they compare to traditional waterfall approaches. Solid grasp of software development lifecycle and delivery best practices. A proactive mindset with a track record of delivering value in fast-paced project environments. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills-both technical and non-technical.
