Mental Health & Learning Disability Hospitals and Mental Health Urgent Care is one of 5 operational directorates responsible for the delivery of clinical services within GHC. The directorate has an annual turnover of over £30m and has over 600 colleagues working within it.
An exciting opportunity has arisen, for the right candidate, to provide strategic and operational leadership for this directorate. The directorate consists of Later Life and Working Age Adult Wards Including a PICU, Rehabilitation, Low Secure and Learning Disability Inpatient units as well as Crisis and Home Treatment Teams, Mental Health Liaison and Criminal Justice Liaison Teams.

Ensuring effective day-to-day operational delivery, supporting system flow by working closely with internal and external partners and stakeholders, developing new ways of delivering services and delivering services within a defined financial envelope are all key aspects of the role.
We are looking for a senior operational manager with experience within the NHS in acute and/or community mental health services. The ideal candidate would be someone with the demonstrable ability to think creatively about the future delivery of services in partnership with stakeholders and service users, their carers and their families. You will have the ability to influence and inspire internal and external stakeholders at all levels, with a strong people focus.
Your solid communication and influencing skills, together with political astuteness and resilience will ensure you have the ability to build positive collaborative relationships within the Trust and in the broader health and social care system.
Continuing with the positive relationships with our local Acute Trust, Local Authority and Primary Care Networks as part of our commitment to the ICS are key to this role.
