Senior Tax Manager
Location: Sevenoaks
Salary: £60,000-£80,000

Want to work with a varied portfolio of clients of tech start-ups/scale-ups and their founders? This is an exciting client-facing role within the tax team. You will have a fantastic level of communication and the ability to build long-term professional relationships with clients and internal teams.
There is the requirement to manage deadlines, complex technical tax queries, and the ability to review the work of others within the team.
You will be a vital part of the team, providing accurate, timely information to clients, enabling them to make informed business decisions.
Essentials:
1. Background in Practice
2. Qualified ATT and/or CTA - minimum 8 years relevant tax experience
3. No ATT Qualification – minimum 10 years relevant tax experience
4. On-the-job experience in corporate tax advisory matters including restructuring, tax due diligence, corporate tax compliance
5. Preferable, not essential: experience with EIS, EMI options, R&D Tax credits
6. Fantastic communication and interpersonal skills
7. Good team player
8. Attention to detail
Key Responsibilities:
1. Running tax advisory assignments.
2. Supporting Directors on more complex assignments.
3. Complete complicated client tax returns.
4. Manage and service clients within own portfolio.
5. Provide technical advice to the companies Team and/or clients.
6. Responsibility for departmental initiatives, processes, and projects whilst continuing to oversee supervision, training, and development of the team.
7. Liaise and communicate with other departments, clients, and directors to generate business leads.
8. Actively support the Tax Associate/Director(s) and work with and support the non-Tax Managers and Directors.
9. Maintain the highest level of technical competence and apply in response to client needs.
10. Support the Tax Director(s) with marketing initiatives and provide content.
11. Identify cross-selling opportunities through networking, attending client functions, and seminars.
12. Involvement in the tax team financials with the senior members of the tax team; chargeable time, recoveries, and billings.
