This role has direct responsibility for ensuring that all customers are supplied with fuel in the most safe and cost effective manner, whilst providing excellent customer service. Our ideal candidate will have strong transport planning skills and be able to carry out operational and administrative work. The ideal candidate would need to be able to plan efficiently and fully optimise the resources using a computerised planning system. To be successful in this role they would need a very good attention to detail and to be able to interpret data accurately to ensure all our customer requirements are met. You will also need the ability to deal with a variety of work challenges in a busy, fast moving department, often working unsupervised. You must be confident and assertive with good interpersonal skills and be able to work under pressure and prioritise work, reacting to issues as they happen. An understanding of Drivers Hours Regulations is also important and you should have knowledge of UK geography. Hours of work: Working a shift pattern of approximately 37.5 hours per week covering early shifts (6am to 3pm), late shifts (9am to 6pm) and mid-shifts (7am-4pm) on week days (with 1 hour break) and Sat/Sun days (6am - 6pm with 1.5 hours break), 4 weekends in every 13 weeks. Requirements: Essential: The successful individual will - Have appropriate logistics/planning experience. Have the ability to work a shift pattern that covers earlies, lates and weekends Live within a commutable distance Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and organisational skills. Be proficient in IT, particularly Microsoft Office - Outlook and Excel Have achieved a GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C or above in Maths and English Have the ability to interpret data accordingly and to prioritise tasks in line with business needs. Be a team player who is able to work to individual and shared deadlines. Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build effective working relationships. Desirable: The successful individual will - Have working knowledge of UK geography. Have working knowledge of WinDMS. Have access to your own transport. Have experience of working in the transport industry and transport planning. Have an understanding of Drivers Hours Regulations. Be CPC qualified, or hold other transport industry qualifications Educated to A-Level (or equivalent) standard
