The Vacancy
North Lincolnshire’s innovative One Family Approach model ensures the best possible outcomes for families and children. We believe children and young people should be in their families, in their schools, and thriving in their communities.
An exciting opportunity has arisen that will enable a highly motivated Senior Educational Psychologist to contribute to the leadership and management of Educational Psychology in North Lincolnshire.
We are looking for a dynamic and committed individual who is a creative thinker, actively engages in problem-solving, has strong interpersonal skills, and is a team player.
You will be joining a friendly and supportive team of Educational Psychologists within Virtual and School Inclusion who work closely and collaboratively with colleagues across the Children and Families workforce, our partners, and our schools and families.
Educational Psychology is highly valued in North Lincolnshire, and we pride ourselves on our strong relationships with our educational settings, including our work with Education Inclusion, Behaviour Support, Early Years (Portage), Autistic Spectrum Disorders Team (ASET), Youth Counselling, and the Complex Behaviour Team.
We are seeking applications from Educational Psychologists who are committed to person-centred approaches, able to deliver a broad-based educational psychology service, and practice at the levels of advice & consultation, which also includes child-focused work, support to parents, training, and projects.
We are committed to early intervention and preventative work and continue to have a strong systemic offer to our schools while balancing the needs of statutory and case-level work. The Senior EP will work closely with the Principal EP, Lead EP, and Senior EP to deliver a strong systemic offer to our children and families, ensuring that the strategic aims are aligned with the vision and values of North Lincolnshire Council.
You will manage and supervise colleagues within our Virtual School and Inclusion team, highlighting knowledge, understanding, and experience of areas such as emotional wellbeing and barriers to education and engagement.
You will join a team with a reputation for providing high quality, effective, and grounded work. We offer a rich array of professional development opportunities and enjoy a regular programme of tailored CPD ourselves. Staff are encouraged to develop special interests. We provide placements for Trainee EPs and have been highly commended on our placement opportunities. Educational Psychology in North Lincolnshire provides experience and work in small rural to larger urban areas, enabling excellent professional and personal development.
Informal enquiries welcome. Contact Rachel Woodford, Principal Educational Psychologist (01724 296679).
Any offer of employment to this post will be subject to receipt of a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
Closing Date: 28th April 2025
Interviews: w/c 12th May
As an employer, we promote and safeguard the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults and expect the same commitment from existing and prospective employees or volunteers.
