Your role:
As our Electrical Facilities Engineer, you'll provide all-round engineering support, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our Irvine Facility. You will have a deep understanding of Electrical regulations and be responsible for complying with Health & Safety and building codes of practice. As a hands-on engineer, you will work closely within the Facilities & Control of Work Team, managing and performing essential maintenance and installation tasks to ensure our Facility operates at optimal efficiency. Your goal is to maintain and ensure the safety and professionalism of all activities on site with an Act as Owner approach.
Responsibilities include:
1. Close out all Facility Electrical defects & improvements (lighting & small power).
2. Ensure production area lighting and small power meets all Quality & Regulation standards and ensure Audit readiness.
3. Troubleshooting of Site CCTV, Net2 Access control & fire equipment, to reduce downtime and increase site knowledge.
4. Lead & Support Contractor control & sponsor specific electrical works both Maintenance and construction.
5. Support purchasing process, PR’s, PO’s, Quotations, SAP.
6. Manage Facilities Maintenance to track and close out all facilities maintenance defects (iObeya).
7. Support Facility type Capex works.
8. Support improvement plans both financial & compliance.
9. Assist with control of work process where required.
10. Carry out all site portable appliance testing and maintain register.
11. Own all Facility type electrical isolations from design, implementation, and long term.
12. Ensure regulatory compliance both internally and any visiting contractors.
13. Perform PPM tasks according to schedules, ensuring operational effectiveness and system reliability.
14. Adhere to and promote Health and Safety and Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).
15. Coordinate initial responses and manage specialist subcontractors for PPM or reactive tasks.
Who you are:
1. Experience in Electrical Engineering, ideally in a Facilities or maintenance role.
2. Have experience of Preventative Planned Maintenance Management - desirable.
3. Have a good knowledge of Facilities plant and equipment - desirable.
4. Are computer competent, Microsoft Office, SAP, XL etc.
5. Have a good understanding of Building Management Systems and project management processes - desirable.
6. Are qualified to City and Guilds Level 3 - installation and maintenance and BS 7671-18th Edition IET - desirable.
