The London Power team consists of three underwriters including the Global Practice Leader Power, with of a further nine Power underwriters located across Paris, New York, Houston, Singapore and Sao Paulo. The London Power team plays a central role in cross-selling and product development and has built a diversified portfolio with worldwide exposure. As a member of the London Underwriting Team you will join a highly motivated, experienced team of technical Power Underwriters and report directly to the Global Segment Leader Power. Manage SCOR’s existing Power portfolio (renewals, endorsements, risk and client visits, client meetings, claims involvement). Receive, select and evaluate offers of business from various sources, calculate ratings and negotiate the bespoke wordings of the contracts Underwrite all types of conventional Operational Power Generation risks with to a high technical and contractual standard without the requirement of excessive guidance; experience with Renewable Energy is desired. Utilise own existing (London) broker network and relationships to maintain and grow SCOR’s portfolio profitably and in line with strategy; develop SCOR’s market share and leadership position Contribute positively to the overall results of SCOR Specialty Insurance by demonstrably sound technical and profitable underwriting Enhance SCOR’s image in the market by efficient and innovative support of client needs Represent SCOR at international events, both general industry conferences and client hosted annual conferences Market SBS capabilities and products to Corporate Risk Managers, Brokers and Ceding companies Produce and share business intelligence documentation based upon research and analysis of the portfolio results and market data. Manage and support accuracy and timeliness of data entry as required for SCOR’s management systems. Regularly meet with client and visit project sites as required. Work in close cooperation and coordination with your colleagues across SBS, participate in business intelligence, knowledge sharing and cross selling Collaborate with our technical assistant team to ensure data quality and performance of contracts administration, regularly collaborate and exchange with the claims team and other internal stakeholders Contribute to the division’s technical knowledge of sectors and sub-sectors in which the jobholder is working Motivate, encourage and contribute to the training of the team Support the Global Line Head to develop and expand the business line.
