Founded in 1988 by Paul Newman, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp provides “a different kind of healing” to thousands of children with serious illnesses and their families annually – all completely free of charge. For many of these children and families, Hole in the Wall provides multiple Camp experiences throughout the year at the facility in Ashford, Conn, in dozens of hospitals and clinics, directly in camper homes and communities and through other outreach activities across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Regional Director of Connecticut will serve as an inspiring and passionate leader responsible for the oversight of all Camp and Family Outreach programs, including facilities and food services, originating from the Ashford Campus. The Regional Director will lead and build the capabilities of the program team and will work with the Chief Program Officer (CPO) to help enrich and evaluate current programming as well as envision future program directions emanating from Ashford. The Regional Director will integrate into Camp's culture an appreciation for and reliance on feedback and data to ensure the highest quality performance of programs and will be an excellent spokesperson and communicator.

* Oversee all operations emanating from the Ashford Campus, ensuring excellence across all programmatic expressions.
* Lead Ashford based meetings, serving as the primary point person for the CPO and executive team for all Ashford related business.
* Be responsible for program summary reports as directed by CPO including board reports, grant narratives, etc.
* Work with CPO and direct reports to set annual goals and operational plans.
* Collaborate with the development team for all Ashford based development events.
* Develop and assess objective performance measurements for program evaluation and improvement.
* Collect stakeholder feedback to enhance existing programs and envision new initiatives.
* Oversee the annual performance review process for all Ashford employees.
* Identify and implement training and wellness programs for staff development.
* Report to the CPO on the development of annual objectives and budgets for the Ashford team.
* Participate actively in all programs and services to gain a comprehensive knowledge of all offerings.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and maintain accreditation standards.
* Oversee use and maintenance of CRM database infrastructure for effective programming.
* Implement measurement tools to evaluate program success and stakeholder satisfaction.
* Lead, coach and develop a high-performance team by exemplifying thoroughness, accountability, and compassion.
* Work closely with the CFO on the creation of Ashford budgets and identification of cost savings opportunities.
* Oversee the program-facing volunteer program for effective volunteer management.
* Manage food service operations, ensuring quality, nutrition, and compliance.
* Oversee facilities management to ensure safety and compliance with building codes.
* Assist with special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
Our Regional Program Director - Connecticut should have…
* A minimum of 10 years' experience in program management, with at least five years' supervisory experience.
* Demonstrated experience in program delivery, leading cross-functional teams, and managing multiple projects.
* A Bachelor's Degree in education, psychology, social work, or a related field; Master's Degree preferred.
* The ability to establish positive relationships in multicultural environments.
* Familiarity with key software and database resources (e.g. Microsoft Office, Salesforce) and adaptable digital skills.
* Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
* The ability to work primarily in an office environment and operate a computer for most of the workday.
* The ability to work remotely up to 2 days a week with a standard Monday to Friday schedule; base office in Ashford, Connecticut.
* A valid Driver's license and a driving record that meets HITWG insurance requirements.
