About the role: The successful applicant will be leading an established Learning Disability and Autism service, providing high-quality care in a specialist setting. This service supports individuals with moderate learning disabilities, associated health needs, and behaviours that may be considered challenging. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will oversee operational performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a person-centred approach to care. The position also involves managing commercial opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders. Key responsibilities: Ensure adherence to CQC standards and regulatory requirements. Maintain financial targets and drive service development to meet evolving service user needs. Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, ensuring a high standard of care. Promote and uphold the reputation of the organisation for quality outcomes. Foster collaborative working relationships with external agencies, commissioners, and safeguarding teams. Oversee supervision and annual review processes for staff, ensuring continued professional development. Requirements: Nurse qualification and live NMC registration. Experience in managing services for individuals with Learning Disabilities and Autism, including Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). Strong commercial acumen to drive service growth and sustainability. Previous experience managing a team within health and social care. Exposure to budget control, business development, and revenue generation. A leadership approach that balances inclusivity and direction. Experience liaising with regulatory bodies such as CQC and commissioning groups.
