Restart Advisor

Ingeus are currently seeking an Advisor for our Stockport office, which is a pivotal role in supporting our participants who have been out of work for at least 6 months or more, and who are interested in exploring Self Employment opportunities, to establish or grow their Self Employment business.
The Restart Scheme is a specially designed programme which gives participants who have been out of work for at least 9 months, intensive and tailored support to help find sustained work in their local area.
What you'll be doing:
* Manage a caseload of participants, ensuring they are supported and challenged appropriately to progress towards Self Employment.
* Partnering with the participant to create a comprehensive action plan to identify appropriate actions to remove any barriers they may have to Self Employment.
* Conducting assessments with all referred participants to assess job readiness and provide the appropriate level of support required to build confidence in gaining sustained employment.
* Identify participants who may benefit from signposting to a specialist organisation for specific Self Employment information, advice and guidance and make referrals as appropriate.
* Understanding the internal and external information, advice and guidance related to general barriers a participant may face, along with Self Employment specific support such as tax, finance, and business plans.
* Ensure clients have access to workshops and tailored support (including health, mental health, transferable skills, job searching, CV writing, interview skills).
You will require:
* Good working knowledge of Self Employment and the challenges that participants may face in this field.
* Building effective and positive relationships with participants to identify and overcome any potential barriers preventing them from becoming Self Employed or enhancing their existing Self Employment.
* Assess participants to determine if Self Employment is a suitable option for them.
* Strong IT skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and web-based programmes.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities to achieve targets and KPIs in a very busy environment.
* Knowledge of the labour market and stakeholders local to the area in which you will be applying.
* Excellent communication, influencing and listening skills.
