Business Improvement Manager – EMEA Supply Chain Haddenham or Peterborough (UK) This position reports to the Continuous Improvement Director EMEA. The EMEA Supply Chain Business Improvement Manager is responsible for building EMEA supply chain Comprehensive Continuous Improvement (CCI) roadmap to deliver long term profit growth ambitions. The EMEA Supply Chain Business Improvement Manager leads cross functional ideation to drive future profit enhancement opportunities to generate ongoing CCI pipeline for EMEA Supply Chain Operations. This role can be based in Peterborough (Cambridgeshire) or Haddenham (Aylesbury). MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Map out the complexity and capability matrix inline with the Cost and Capacity Long Term Plan (LTP) to support %Gross Margin increase to deliver the Compelling Business Needs (CBN) with a focus on growth and reducing operational costs through simplification. Lead an annual Project Ideation to build and Manage Simplification Comprehensive Cost Improvement (CCI) pipeline for EMEA SC Manufacturing covering following projects: De-listing; Harmonization; Consolidation / BCP; Network Optimization Create a forum for CCI ideas and initiatives being reviewed with relevant cross functional teams (Commercial, Cross functional CCI/ Business Improvement team, R&D, Planning, SC Finance, Commercial Finance etc.) Support the Operation Directors and Category Finance Business Partners to deliver the CCI target : Provides guidance on yearly target setting, Provides an overview on risks an opportunity following the official report from the CCI team, Provides weekly status update when necessary to provide guidance, Organize or participate pipeline build workshops when necessary. Represent EMEA Supply Chain Operations in Global / Regional Cross functional CCI ideation and review forums to discuss and review the projects ongoing. Evaluate opportunities to improve ways of working within Supply Chain by introducing data automation solutions with or without the use of AI to improve the effectiveness of the processes. Create and share best practices in the areas of resources, tools and expertise relating to process and productivity improvement/cost protection/cost saving initiatives within EMEA Supply Chain. CANDIDATE PROFILE Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Other Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Finance or related field, with a strong professional background in manufacturing environment or other supply chain (FMCG industry preferred). Previous responsibility leading and working with cross-functional teams (able to prepare teams for change and execute / manage through change) on complex transformation, cost reduction or capacity increase project. Demonstrated ability setting direction for others to work toward goals and completion of objectives (influences decisions at peer level and above). Understanding of the Supply Chain Finance and the drivers of the costs (Format complexity, Productivity, run rates, run time, Performance, Inventory etc), with experience managing financial analysis, cost reductions, and/or continuous improvement initiatives. Communicates and collaborates effectively and efficiently with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Ability to push work forward and remove roadblocks.
