Hire and Sales Assistant

Position Overview
The Hire and Sales Assistant supports the Dry Hire, Sales, Theatre and Concert Touring sectors by helping with the administration of a Project. Additionally, they will manage our Hire Website, and sell ex-hire stock. The Hire and Sales Assistant reports to the Senior Manager Hire and Sales.
Key Job Responsibilities
1. Assist the Hire or Sales team by adding a list of equipment to a Project
2. Arrange transfers between depots utilising the equipment in our inventory
3. Drive results by selling ex-hire stock on eBay and by other similar means
4. See the big picture by arranging sub hires efficiently and effectively
5. Book and arrange replacement equipment to be delivered to a client
6. Book internal and external transport
7. Keep the Hire website up to date, with new equipment, and removing old equipment
8. Liaise with Asset Logistics when a Project/Job is ready to be printed
9. Communicate effectively across all departments of the company
10. Answer calls and either forward them to the appropriate department/person or take a message
11. Deal with enquiries yourself when appropriate
12. Follow all safety practices and policies
13. Greet visitors and ask them to sign in and put on a high vis if applicable, as well as calling the colleague they have come to see to let them know of their visitor’s arrival
14. Deliver world-class service to our external and internal customers
15. Take card payments for hires and sales
16. Process POs and solicit quotes
17. Recommend and/or initiate business process improvement opportunities around the purchasing processes
18. Monitor the order-to-payment process, researching and correcting all PO or invoice related issues that hold up the invoice payment process
19. Track and maintain the ordering and replenishment process and ensure completion of orders
20. Support the Hire and Sales team during holiday/sickness cover in responding to customers and some small quotations
