What is the opportunity?
The role will comprise working in FIG RBC’s Investment Banking team. The associate will support senior bankers in executing corporate finance, M&A and financing transactions covering financial institutions.
What will you do?
* Support execution of transactions, including taking the leading role on specific project work streams
* Prepare new business presentations and meetings, and other such duties
* Work with Analysts to develop pitch books and related client materials
* Gathering public information through numerous sources
* Financial modelling and analyses
* Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities
* Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks that you identify to your line manager and the relevant risk and control functions on a timely basis
What do you need to succeed?
Must have
* Experience of FIG Investment Banking
* Solid understanding of capital markets and spreadsheet modelling
* Outstanding quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; strong knowledge of corporate finance and accounting
* Highly motivated with demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities and requests
* Ability to take initiative and function independently, balanced with strong team skills
* Strong written and oral communication, as well as, excellent interpersonal
* skills with ability to maintain relationships at all levels of organization
