Billing and Collections Manager Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in substance abuse and mental healthbilling and collections (commercial OON insurance)
* Strong knowledge of billing software, insurance claims, collections processes, and reimbursement procedures
* Experience managing billing and collections teams and implementing process improvements
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Billing and Collections Manager Responsibilities
* Oversee all billing and collections operations, including claims submission, payment posting, and follow-up on unpaid claims
* Manage and train billing and collections staff to ensure accurate and timely claim processing and collections
* Monitor accounts receivable and implement strategies to reduce outstanding balances and improve cash flow
* Collaborate with the revenue cycle team to streamline billing and collections processes
* Communicate with insurance companies and payers to resolve billing and collections issues and discrepancies
* Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to billing, collections, and reimbursement
* Prepare and analyze billing and collections reports to provide insights to senior management
* Stay up-to-date with industry standards, billing codes, and collections procedures
* Assist with audits and implement corrective actions as needed
* Ensure patient confidentiality in compliance with state and federal laws
* Perform other duties as assigned
Pay: $90,000-110,000
Schedule: FT, M-F, 9-5
