THE ROLE
SEO & PPC Marketing Executive - Glasgow
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced digital marketing executive specialising in SEO and PPC to join our dynamic, fast-paced team. Reporting directly into the Digital Marketing Manager, you'll work closely with colleagues across marketing, events and business development, ensuring cohesive strategies and shared goals. The role involves managing and optimising campaigns, enhancing search performance, and driving measurable results. This is an opportunity to contribute to a hardworking and collaborative environment, delivering on ambitious marketing initiatives with a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Keyword Research and Strategy Development
Conduct integrative search keyword research to identify high-performing keywords and develop strategies to improve search visibility and paid campaign performance. Monitor competitor performance to identify gaps and opportunities.
* Content Creation & Optimisation
Collaborate on creating engaging, SEO-friendly content that aligns with target keywords and user intent. Enhance website with meta tags and internal linking to improve search rankings. Build and manage backlinks to enhance visibility and improve domain authority.
* Campaign Management
Design and implement PPC campaigns aligned with business goals and target audiences. Develop compelling ad copy that drives clicks and conversions. Monitor and adjust bids to achieve the best possible ROI while staying within budget. Conduct A/B testing for ads and landing pages to refine performance.
* Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Drive measurable results through data-driven SEO and PPC strategies, analysing key metrics to optimise campaigns and deliver clear, actionable insights that support business growth.
* Cross-functional Collaboration:
As a member of the AAB Marketing Team there will be a requirement to assist the marketing, events and business development team with additional tasks and projects as they arise.
Qualifications:
* A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in SEO and PPC campaign management.
* Proven expertise in using tools like Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, SEMrush, or similar platforms.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for crafting engaging ad copy and collaborating with the team.
* Up-to-date knowledge of digital marketing trends, algorithms, and best practices.
* Experience with A/B testing and performance optimisation techniques.
* A proactive, results-driven mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
* Detail oriented with strong organisational skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient use of Knowledge of MS Office packages and Teams.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience working in a fast-paced/growth environment.
* Certification in Google Ads and GA4.
* Understanding of HTML, CSS, or basic coding to troubleshoot technical SEO issues desired but not essential.
* Experience of using the following marketing platforms ranging from WordPress, Hotjar and HubSpot are desired but not essential.
* Ability to engage with a range of stakeholders and team members.
* A proactive and positive attitude to problem solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
