The postholder will be an active member of the Boyd/Malcom research team assisting in the planning and delivery of research activity for a Population Council funded project to perform CMC activities that will advance the regulatory pathway for the next generation of antiretroviral intravaginal ring. This research will build upon the success of the current Dapiring product that is currently marketed for the prevention of HIV. About the person: The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following essential criteria: Have or about to obtain a PhD in pharmaceutics, drug delivery, or closely related subject; (viva examination must be completed). Practical experience in manufacturing and testing of polymeric sustained/controlled release drug delivery devices. Practical experience in performing drug release studies and modelling drug release data. Practical experience in HPLC analysis. Practical experience in mechanical characterization of polymeric drug delivery devices. Evidence of ability to plan and manage research projects. Previous practical experience in supervising undergraduate research projects.
